The following is a poem written by Lauren Moody, who sails on the San Francisco Bay.
Home
A dense fog slowly envelops
As my sense of awe develops
Seabirds burst forth into the sky
Their beauty pleasant to the eye
Everything comes into focus
In such a magical locus
Lost upon the limitless sea
No other place I’d rather be
I may never return to land
More woes ashore than grains of sand
The vast ocean is now my home
Ever the nomad free to roam
